My neighbor gifted me 30 bushes if I would dig them up and transplant them.  He wanted to replace his thorned varieties with thornless ones.  So, I jumped at the chance and transplanted the 30 bushes.  Twenty-two of them survived to produce berries this year.  Now, I have over 140 plants growing for future years, and should have sufficient berries to meet my batches’ needs.  I might even have to open a U-pick blackberry farm!

Blackberry has a very similar taste to Dewberry. In fact, you can’t really tell the difference between them unless you look at their size.  So, the uses are quite similar to the dewberry.

Pairs with:

Ingredients: blackberries, cane sugar, lemon juice and pectin.
